Two Fronts: Native Vision Toolkit and a Community Desktop Distribution
TL;DR
Two map additions land on the same day, expanding the DSH ecosystem on opposite ends: Anionex/dsh-vision-toolkit brings a ten-tool vision layer plus a bundled Skill for text-only models, and vibeinging/dsh-desktop ships a community-maintained Electron distribution with a Session-bound capability whitelist over the official DSH npm runtime.
The DSH map picked up two entries today, on opposite sides of the same gap.
On the tools side, Anionex/dsh-vision-toolkit gives text-only models something closer to a multimodal worker: ten vision tools plus a bundled Skill. It is the first DSH-native integration of the upstream Anionex/agent-vision-toolkit, and the design choice worth flagging is that grounding output is already in original-image pixels — a single tool call’s coordinates feed straight into cropping, tracing, or vectorisation without remapping.
On the clients side, vibeinging/dsh-desktop is a community-maintained Electron distribution layered on the official DSH npm runtime. Its README is unusually concrete about what it adds and what it does not — official Web stays as the only main UI, native capabilities go through a Session-bound whitelist, Profiles bootstrap atomically from pinned tarballs, and startup failures land on a recovery page rather than a white screen. macOS Apple Silicon is the only signed/notarised target today; Windows and Intel macOS run from source.
Neither post is a release announcement — the two projects have been live, and the news here is simply that the map now carries them, with first-hand entries grounded in the upstream READMEs rather than a recap of numbers that would stale by next build.
